In this article, we’ll explain how to get to the airport from Dublin Airport, Dublin City Centre and Derry / Londonderry. Whether you’re heading off on your holidays or coming home, getting to / from the airport doesn’t have to be a hassle.

How to Get from Dublin to Belfast International Airport

If you’re travelling to Belfast International Airport from Dublin, you have a few options to consider.

Dublin > Belfast International Airport by Bus

You may think us biassed, but in our opinion, the bus is by far the best way to get to the airport without breaking the bank. Our 705X express service takes you from Dublin Airport or Dublin City Centre directly to Terminal 1 at Belfast International Airport, making it both affordable and convenient.

With hourly services running during peak times, our coaches will get you to your destination hassle free. Prices start from as little as €14,  with Wi-Fi included on the house!

Dublin > Belfast International Airport by Car

If you’re visiting friends and family, or if you live locally, you might be considering driving. If so, you have a couple of options - either to drive yourself, or to have a friend or family member pick you up / drop you off.

Having someone to meet you at the designated drop off / pick up zone would be your quickest option. However, bear in mind that prices can quickly start to rack up if you’re delayed in getting out of the airport (which can be common during peak times).

A safer option might be to drive yourself, as there is parking available close to the airport. Depending on how long your trip is, you can choose from either the Main Car Park (short stays), the Long Stay Car Park or the off-site Park and Fly (also suitable for long stays). Costs vary depending on the site and duration, but in all cases they are pricier than Aircoach!

Dublin > Belfast International Airport by Taxi

You might also be thinking about booking a taxi. With taxi ranks outside of Terminal 1, these can be a popular choice for those looking to get directly to / from Belfast to Dublin.

While they’re definitely a convenient option, be prepared to pay a premium on your travel costs. With the journey time being 2 hours plus, expect costs to rack up quickly, especially if you’re travelling during peak times or by yourself.

Dublin > Belfast International Airport by Plane

While it might sound strange to fly to the airport, there are flights available from Dublin Airport to Belfast International Airport! You might consider this an option if you are in a rush, booking last minute or have very specific travel plans. However, it’s not a very common choice and it’s definitely not the most economical way to go.

How to Get to Belfast International Airport from Derry / Londonderry

Travelling from Derry / Londonderry? You’ll find some great options to get you to Belfast International.

Derry/L’Derry > Belfast International Airport by Car

However, just like from Dublin, you’ll have to consider parking costs and you might encounter road traffic delays, especially during rush hours.

Derry/L’Derry > Belfast International Airport by Bus
