When is Dublin Pride 2025?
This year, Dublin Pride Festival runs from June 20th to June 28th 2025, with the Pride parade taking place on Saturday 28th June at 12:30pm.
Looking back at Dublin Pride
Dublin Pride has come a long way since 40+ years ago when it first began. The movement first started as a grassroots demonstration in 1974 and since then, it has grown into Ireland's largest LBGTQIA festival, with supporters from across the country and wider world visiting Dublin each year for the multiday celebration of pride, love, inclusivity, culture and progress.
Dublin Pride Parade 2025
The main event of Dublin Pride is undoubtedly the parade. This year, it takes place on Saturday, June 28th at 12:30pm with the theme 'Taking Liberties'!
The route will start on O'Connell Street, passing Eden Quay, Custom House Quay, over Talbot Bridge, along City Quay, Lombard Street and Westland Row before ending at Merrion Square Pride Village where you can spend the rest of the day (completely free, no tickets needed).
The first section of the parade is reserved for LGBTQ+ support, advocacy, youth and special groups and the second section is reserved for other companies and organisations who want to show support.
If you're travelling to the parade with us from Dublin Airport, Cork or Belfast, all of our services will drop you off within walking distance to O'Connell Street so you can join in on the celebrations!
What other Dublin Pride events can you expect?
While the parade might be the main event people travel to Dublin Pride for, if you're a local to the city or you're visiting Dublin for an extended trip, there's loads of other events throughout the week. Here's some of our favourites lined up for this year:
Tour of LGBTQIA+ Artworks at the National Gallery of Ireland
The National Gallery of Ireland (a firm must visit spot when visiting the city) are offering various guided tours which higlight the LGBTQIA+ artists contribution to the history of fine art. There are various dates and times available and the best part is it's completely free! There's even a self guided online tour available if you're not able to visit in person.
However, if you are visiting in person the gallery is easily reached by taking Aircoach to O'Connell Street, then walking 8 minutes to the Gallery. See below for information on minor route distruptions on parade day.
QUEERaoke at the Button Factory
For something a little bit livelier, visit the Button Factory, one of Dublin's most loved venues, for their QUEERoke night. Found in Temple Bar, enjoy a night of singing your heart out alongside locals and tourists alike.
To get there, take Aircoach to O'Connell Street, then enjoy a 5 minute walk to the venue.
Gauche Pride Weekend Market
Last but not least is the Gauche Pride Weekend Market at Wigwam on Middle Abbey Street. A staple of the city, every month this lively cocktail bar transforms into a market, each time following a different theme. On June 29th, they're showcasing beautiful arts, crats and more made by queer artists and business owners from across Ireland. Tickets are free so you can put your money behind supporting the LGBTQ+ artists.
To get there, travel on Aircoach to O'Connell Street and walk 7 minutes to Merrion Square for the market.
Do buses run during Dublin Pride?
Absolutely! All Aircoach services from Dublin Airport, Cork, Belfast and Derry to Dublin remain fully operational throughout the festival, including parade day (Saturday). Enjoy guaranteed seating, flexible ticketing and affordable fares - so you can get to where you need to be stress free.
How to get to Dublin Pride 2025
With our services running throughout Dublin Pride, including parade day, it couldn't be easier to get there with Aircoach. See below for how to get to Dublin Pride if you're travelling from Dublin Airport, Cork or Belfast.
From Dublin Airport
Take the 700 or 700X from Terminal 1 or 2 at Dublin Airport to Dublin City and get dropped off at O'Connell Street, the centre of the city and near a host of Pride events.
If you're travelling on June 28th (parade day) there are some slight diversions between 8am and 4pm.
For the 700 towards Leopardstown, you will alight at Fleet Street instead of O'Connell Street Upper at Hotel RIU Plaza or Dublin City Centre (O'Connell Bridge). Luckily, this isn't too much of a detour and it's only a quick 10 minute walk to O'Connell Street (where the parade begins).
And for the 700X towards Dublin City, you will alight at Westmoreland Street instead of O'Connell Street Upper at Hotel RIU Plaza. Likewise, this isn't a major detour and you can get to O'Connell Street from here in less than a 10 minute walk.
From Cork
Travel directly from Cork to Dublin with Aircoach's intercity 704X route. Throughout the week, you can get dropped off at Bachelor's Walk but between 8am and 4pm on the Saturday, you will need to alight at Arran Quay instead. Bachelor's Walk is right in the centre of the city and although Arran Quay is a slight detour, it is still a doable distance and a great convenient and affordable option if you're travelling from Cork to Dublin for Pride.
From Belfast
Take our brand new 705X coaches from Belfast to Dublin, featuring on-board toilets, reclining seats and WIFI and get dropped off directly at O'Connell Street Upper.
However, like our other routes, there is a slight diversion on parade day (Saturday 28th) and you will need to alight at North Wall Quay 3Arena instead. This is a slightly longer walk towards O'Connell Street but you can easily connect with the LUAS to take you closer.
